QS Olivia Sally Otieno, MAAK (QS), MIQSK, is a Registered Practicing and licensed Quantity Surveyor by Board of Registration for Architects and Quantity Surveyors (BORAQS), Kenya. She is pursuing a PhD in Construction Management at the University of Nairobi, with a background in Master of Arts in Construction Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Building Economics, UoN.
She works as the Finance and Administration Director at Mwembe & Mwembe Associates Limited, a Building and Civil Engineering Construction Company in Kenya (Registered Under NCA Category 1). She is also a Lecturer at the Department of Real Estate, Construction Management and Quantity Surveying, University of Nairobi.
Other roles in which she currently serves are Committee Member, Research and Publication at Board of Registration for Architects and Quantity Surveyors (BORAQS); Director at KCL, a Quantity Surveying and Project Management Consultancy Company Registered in Kenya; A trainer of contractors for National Construction Authority.
Previously, she has served as Board Member and Vice Chairperson (BORAQS), and as Treasurer of the Architectural Association of Kenya (AAK). She has a passion in mentorship of students and young professionals.
She currently serves on the AAK Cooperative Sacco Ltd as the Honorary Treasurer, a member of the Executive Committee, and a member of the Management Committee.
